At the current market value, the Reliance Capital shares are worth more than Rs 5,000 crore, though a control deal would come at a premium. Sources said Reliance has sought a valuation with the IPO price of Rs 252 apiece as the benchmark, pushing the deal size to about Rs 7,000 crore, or $1 billion.
