Barrister Ben Keith, of 5 St Andrew’s Hill, who specialises in extradition cases and has three clients wanted by the government of India, all of whom are out on bail, said on Friday: “I am surprised he was not given bail. He was arrested unexpectedly so may not have had the bail security ready.” Keith said Nirav’s lawyers are likely to make a second application.
