BCCI may face ED probe into its foreign payments

The RBI is likely to give a go-ahead to an ED probe into BCCI's foreign remittances of close to Rs 2,000 cr without its approval, rejecting an exemption request from the board. BCCI officials had met RBI officials last week to explain why the money related to the Champions League T20 tournament was remitted overseas without approval from the banking regulator.
