Fund diversion probe led to Goyals being detained

An inquiry into diversion of funds and the source of their equity in Jet Airways led to the detention of Naresh Goyal and his wife at Mumbai airport on Saturday. Sources said the couple was asked to get off the Dubai-bound Emirates flight on the basis of an alert as the ED is looking into Goyal’s case since Jet Airways owes over Rs 8,500 cr to lenders.
