L&T gets control of 60% of Mindtree shares

L&T gained control of nearly 60% of Mindtree shares as on Wednesday, the first hostile takeover in the Indian IT industry. L&T had made an unsolicited bid to acquire 66% in the Bengaluru-headquartered, mid-tier IT services company three months ago. If it reaches that figure, it would have spent $1.6 billion.
