L&T wants to offer Mindtree’s chairman Krishnakumar Natarajan the role of non-executive chairman to steer through the transition process, sources said. Natarajan, who holds 3.7% stake in the Bengaluru-based IT firm, is seen as an amenable face, though he, along with the three other founders who remain in the firm -- Subroto Bagchi, NS Parthasarathy and Rostow Ravanan -- had strongly resisted L&T's unsolicited bid.
