Walmart revives talks with Tatas to boost retail play

A deal is in the works between India’s largest conglomerate, the Tata Group and the world’s largest retailer, Walmart. Both want to accelerate their omni-channel or multi-channel retail play, even as rivals Reliance-Amazon are said to be in similar talks. Walmart-Tata deal has been in the works since Cyrus Mistry but leadership changes stalled efforts.
