Fearing 'epidemic among kids', govt bans e-cigarettes

The Cabinet has approved an ordinance banning production, manufacturing, import, export, transport, sale and advertising of e-cigarettes which will be a punishable offence with 1-3 years of jail term and Rs 1-5 lakh penalty. The ordinance will come into force once approved by the President. It will be converted into a bill in the next session of Parliament.
