Suzuki set to go slow on third plant in Gujarat

The slowdown in the car market and pressure on Maruti’s sales is prompting its Japanese parent Suzuki to go slow in its India expansion. After setting up its independent manufacturing factory in Gujarat, Suzuki is understood to have slowed the construction of a third plant, which was to begin production in the fourth quarter of this fiscal, with an investment of nearly Rs 3,800 crore.
