Coronavirus scare spared domestic air travel in February, shows DGCA data

Despite coronavirus’ dark shadow on travel, India saw 1.2 crore people flying within the country last month — up almost 9% from 1.1 crore in February 2019. The first two months of this year have seen 2.5 crore domestic flyers, an increase of 5.4% from 2.4 crore in January-February 2019 period, according to DGCA data released Wednesday.
