Executives get longer stint at top deck of PSU banks

For a long time, the government has been criticised for giving short tenures to the top management of public sector companies as well as in ministries and departments. Slowly, that seems to be changing. On Wednesday evening, it designated 44-year-old Nitesh Ranjan, a chief general manager at Union Bank of India, as the state-run lender’s executive director.
